Call to Celebration
This is the day that the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it!
This is a day of new beginnings! This is a time for growing into bold and creative disciples in Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Together we come today to prepare ourselves for worship that will embolden us to believe that “the King has one more move.”
So, brothers and sisters in Christ, let us celebrate the God of change, transformation, and new beginnings.
This is the day that the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it!
Amen
Offertory
Brothers and sisters in Christ, the God of relentless love became flesh to show us the meaning of love…to embrace us in our wandering…to whisper grace when we forget. Today we gather not because we must but because we are loved. And we also gather of tithes, pledges, or offerings in gratitude of God’s amazing love. Blessed be the God of our redemption! because, although we were once estranged, we are now made new by the God of newness and change. So, with deepened gratitude, today we joyfully share our gifts Amen.

Scripture Lesson
Isaiah 43:15-19 ( NRSV - Updated Edition )
15 I am the Lord, your Holy One,
the Creator of Israel, your King.
16 Thus says the Lord,
who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters,
17 who brings out chariot and horse, army and warrior;
they lie down; they cannot rise;
they are extinguished, quenched like a wick:
18 Do not remember the former things or consider the things of old.
19 I am about to do a new thing;
now it springs forth; do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
