Call to Worship
God, we know you have compassion upon all your creation.
Give us eyes to see where justice is needed.
You are involved in the lives of all peoples.
Empower us to move beyond comfort and convenience.
Faith is not a silent and stagnant conviction.
Faith persistently agitates hatred until love becomes the norm and not the exception.
One: Let us pray…
God of all goodness and grace, receive the gifts we offer; and grant that our whole life may give you glory and praise; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
October 8th Sermon
Luke 18: 15-17 NIV
15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
